What do you love most about living in NYC?

There’s an energy to New York that’s unique to this city and doesn’t exist anywhere else. I’ve lived here for 14 years, and the city is continually reinventing itself in unexpected and exciting ways. There’s also a great sense of community here, which has been especially true in the midst of COVID.

What drew you to Cornell Radiology?

It was very apparent when I interviewed here that the department has an especially collegial atmosphere - not only among the residents but also between the residents and the faculty. When it comes to the curriculum, I appreciate the opportunities the program offers to have in-person teaching rounds with the hospital’s inpatient teams, as well as the emphasis the program places on training its residents to be effective communicators. And, of course, having access to the radiology departments at HSS and Sloan Kettering on top of the already great training offered at Cornell.

What are some favorite hobbies outside of work?

Swimming, biking around the city, various hand crafts (I’m working on a quilt right now), visiting museums/exhibitions
