Community Outreach

At Weill Cornell Radiology, community engagement is not just an extracurricular, it’s a core part of our mission.  Residents actively participate in outreach efforts that connect radiology with real community impact, both locally and globally. Resident community outreach activities are spearheaded by Drs. Kemi Babagbemi, Marina Corines, and David Jaramillo Gil, in conjunction with our resident Community Outreach Chairs.

Current initiatives include:

  • Cancer screening fairs and regular outreach events, including breast and lung cancer education
  • Volunteer work with Project Renewal, a local community organization providing healthcare, homes, and jobs to New Yorkers in need
  • Educational visits to local schools to inspire future healthcare professionals
  • Global health electives through RAD-AID, promoting sustainable imaging infrastructure worldwide
