Early Exposure of Medical Students to Radiology

In collaboration with radiology student interest groups in the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), the South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA) and the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), several members of our department conduct interactive workshops and events throughout the year to help kickstart students’ unique professional journeys as future radiologists. This seminar series is designed to provide medical students with a foundational understanding of radiology and its essential role in modern healthcare. Through lectures and interactive sessions, medical students gain insight into the principles, applications, and ethical considerations of radiology in patient care. Topics have included “Road to Residency in Radiology”, “Radiology Imaging Workshop for Medical Students”, “Careers in Academic Radiology”, and “ChatGPT and the Potential Impact of Large Language Models in Healthcare.”
