The department has taken on global, regional, and local initiatives that are meant to address disparities and inequities. Through our involvement in RAD-AID, the department has helped increase and improve radiology in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as underserved areas of high-income countries (HICs). Currently, Dr. Genevieve Abbey is one of the Program Managers in Breast Imaging Operations for RAD-AID International. In addition, Dr. Andrew Kesselman, previously one of the Program Managers of RAD-AID Informatics and PI on the IBM Health Corps Grant, is now the Program Manager of RAD-AID IR and co-chief to the RAD-AID chapter at WCM.
