ACGME: 4203521129 - NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (CORNELL CAMPUS)
A one-year internship is required prior to the four year radiology residency. The NMRP match conducted in the spring is for positions in the residency class beginning July 1st of the following year. Completed applications are reviewed by the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Department of Radiology selection committee during October. If you have been selected for an interview, you will be notified in November by email. Interviews are conducted in December. If you cannot come on the assigned date, please contact Erika Soto by telephone (see below) as soon as possible to arrange for an alternate interview date. We encourage you to come on one of the formal interview days so that we may provide the maximum information about our program.
On the day of your interview you will be asked to spend either the morning (starting 8 A.M.) or the afternoon (starting 12 Noon) in the Department of Radiology. The current residents host an informal welcome dinner at a local restaurant the night before the applicant interviews. Although not required, you are strongly encouraged to attend the welcome dinner, meet our residents, and to learn first hand about our program. Your interview day in our Department will include a breakfast or lunch with the current residents, a general orientation, a tour of the hospitals, and three 20 minute interviews with members of the clinical faculty and the Chairman of Radiology.
Applicants may begin applying through ERAS to ACGME residency programs on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency beginning July 1, 2018.
The interview dates for those applying to the Diagnostic Radiology Residency beginning July 1, 2018 will be December 6, 9, 13, and 16 2016.
